Blessed

The word of God tells us that, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8

How far do you trust the Lord. It's easy to trust Him when things are going well. Everyone trusts God then. But how about when the road gets a little rough. Is our confidence really in God, or have we been trusting in ourselves? What color are your leaves when you are going through a trial. Are you fresh and confident with your trust? Are you full of worries? Are you still bearing fruit?

Maybe you feel as though you have wilted, burned and maybe even fallen to the ground. It is time to put your trust in the right place. Picture that tree planted by the water which always has that stream of refreshing. That is the kind of refreshing that the Lord wants you to have. He wants you to be able to thrive through any circumstance because your reliance is on Him.

"Father, we thank you that we can have every confidence in you. Help us to put our trust in you."

Can you imagine a world where everyone has the other person's best interest at heart? No pushing or shoving to be first in line. No maligning someone's character so you can get ahead at the job. No getting stuck with an item the salesperson said was best for you but didn't really mean it. Signed, Sealed, and Delivered

  "And you were included in Christ when you heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession to the praise of His glory."  Ephesians 1:13-14 Besides being a faith builder, the Word of God also gives us great comfort and assurance. In Ephesians 1:13-14, we learn that when we hear and believe the gospel we are "marked in Him with a seal of the promised Holy Spirit, a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance."
